I am hosting my first solo art show. Thirty five pieces will be displayed and I have depicted scenes and themes from my life since the death of my brother, Andrew, through suicide. It's been over 2 years since he passed away and I have finally felt comfortable enough to share and discuss what life has become after death. The exhibition will largely be shown in chronological order starting with pieces done weeks after his death. Because this is my first show, I am still developing a personal style and the exhibition shows a progression of complexity and themes. I explore feelings of isolation, guilt, hope, and love in these 35 pieces and I identify with symbolist, surrealist, and impressionistic styles.
